Today marks the end of circuit breaker period.
And today also marks the day a hormonal intrauterine device (IUD - Mirena) is being inserted into my uterus to regress simple hyperplasia without atypical and prevent excessive build up of lining in the uterus. Simple hyperplasia without atypical has about 1% chance of turning atypical and subsequently may result in endometrium cancer. It was detected after I did a procedure to check on my uterus for spotting and heavy cramps. My mum had endometrium cancer and my sis had breast cancer, so I think I should whatever prevention there is and treat it if it is detected early.
The insertion process is damn painful and uncomfortable. It is really shitty experience. I think I will go for surgery with GA if it is to be removed or replaced. I really don't like the feeling of my cervix being pry open.
I will have to go back and check on my IUD after 3 weeks to make it is still in place. In the meantime, I will experience bleeding and cramps for a few months. Sign ... Let's hope this IUD will not give me any problems.
And back to circuit breaker ending, as we enter phase 1 of re-opening, schools, shops and services will start to open up albeit slowly and carefully with safe distancing and practice proper hygiene. Close family members are allow to visit each other, with restriction in the number of visitors. My brother will be allowed to visit us, and I look forward to seeing my nephews again.
However, I still can't go back to office as it is still WFH whenever possible for all staff. Let's hope phase 2 will kick in end of the month and we can start going back to office. I am sure we still need to practice safe distancing in office even after all the phases of re-opening. But that can't be help if we are to slow the the transmission of the COVID-19 virus.
Well, we hope for the best. I am sure we can tahan all these.
