My birthday and your 1st month

This year birthday is special.  My nephew is having his 1st month celebration on the same day. And he gave me a punch as birthday present.  Just joking.

I have received wishes and blessings from friends and colleagues today. Thank you for all those blessing.

Next year will be a better year. 😛

I am going to pick up cooking

I have just bought my airfryer last month.  Ok, it functions more like an oven than an airfryer, but it doesn't matter as long as it can cook my dishes. :)

The first dish that I cooked was fries.  Yes, I bought fresh potatoes, cut them into strips and fried in this machine.  Well, it did not look like french fries. It looked like shrinking fries.

It was only later that my friend told me, I have to use those pre-packed frozen french fries, not cut from fresh potatoes.  Ha ha ...

Nuggets turn out well without the oil.  But then all nuggets taste nice to me, even MacDonalds.

I have cooked 2 dishes with this air fryer.  Will update the dishes later when I got free time.

Times flies - already 1 year

It's already a year since you left.  Time flies...

You are happy and healthy with the angels.  Free from worries, free from stress.  Spotty will be around to keep you company.

Maid Problems !!!

My old maid has left and is now a boss in Indonesia, setting up her own shop selling clothes and food.

I have got a new maid for 3 months now.  She is slow and doesn't really use any strength when she did the housework, however she can cook quite well and is able to care for my mother.  I had thought I won't have any maid problems with her, however, recently she started to show her patterns. She is now asking for transfer and gives all sort of excuses like having to eat late causes her gastric to flare up because of feeding my mother, having headache because my mother wakes her up at night, have to work until 12 midnight (which is a lie) and the latest is that I am calculative on the food she ate and she is not having enough food. I am letting the maid agent to handle her and I am standing by the fact feeding and tending to my mother at night was conveyed to her before she came and I did give her proper meals.

It is really true that having maid is a problem itself.  If I had a choice I will never engage one. You pay and feed her, and yet you still have to tolerate her mood, and worried about her ill-treating your parents or making a mess of your house.

Now there are infant care and childcare centers, some organisations should really start an eldercare centers.  Lots of it, so that we don't have to depend on these foreign maids.

Hand Foot Mouth Disease, why visit me again?

Yes, a long time virus came back via my nephew again. I had just recovered from the Hand Foot Mouth Disease (HFMD).

Luckily this time round, I detected it early and went to visit the doctor when spots started appearing on my hand and ulcers in my mouth. It wasn't as bad as last time in 2014, except for the ulcers.

The ulcers were terrible, I started to treat them with salt. It was damn painful, but the recovery is much faster. Give a tip, rub the ulcers with salt, bear with the pain and quickly rinse off the salt with water if the pain becomes unbearable. Repeat for a few times. Then treat yourself with ice/ice cream to numb the pain.

As for the hand and feet, the spots were still quite minimal and they broke and dry off easily. Maybe the hot weather the drying too.

Well, now I have recover and hopefully, it won't visit me again so soon.

After Chinese New Year

Well, I had managed to move back to my house for the Chinese New Year.

Thinking that it will not be so hectic after the move, I had planned to do a lot of things after the Chinese New Year.

Things like categorising all the items that have been stuffed into the cupboards and wardrobe before the CNY, and putting them properly into plastic containers.  Putting up the glass paper for my balcony. Keeping my wardrobe properly. And so on.

Well, 1 month has passed but I have not completed any of the stuff I planned.

Mum got sick after the CNY. We were rotating ourselves to accompany her during her hospital stay. Now she has returned home, but the pain is still there and we had to be careful with her because she will keep having diarrhea and her lumber bone has weaken.

This week there is IT Show and I had planned to get a PC/laptop.  The one I am using now belongs to 大姐, and it is better to return it to her.
Then I have to start buying plastic containers to pack the stuff and do up the glass panel.

Haiz ... let hope nothing major crops up.
