Last day of the 2019

Time of the year to wrap up again.  Oh no, this year there are only 2 blogs. I am going to cramp all happenings into this last blog of the year. 😉

We just celebrated my nephew 1st birthday. It was fun and heartwarming, especially when we let him choose the items that might represent his career when he grew up.  He took a stethoscope (a doctor), a hammer (a judge/lawyer) and cooking spatula (a cook).  Of course all these are toys and for fun only, and his father joking says he will take over his grandmother 杂菜饭 stall when he grows up.

Work has been peaceful for the past few months although busy.  I have been getting to office late.  I must make it a point to throw away this bad habit in the new year.

Health wise a lot of tests were done but nothing much turn up to indicate why am I having this back pain. I am glad to hear that it is not slip disc or nerves problem.  After doing physio, it seems to reduce so I hope it will continue to get better.  And I am getting fatter.  I think I need to resume my daily exercise/walking real soon.

Next year, I am going to check on my uterus and breast to ensure that there is no cancerous lumps in them.  The body is getting weaker as I grow older. 😱

My 二胡 student managed to pass her 二胡 grade 5 exams and got through a good secondary school through DSA (Direct School Admission through interview and audition based on her 二胡 playing skill).  I am glad to be a capable teacher who help her through these even though it was a really stressful job.  I am still thinking whether I should continue to teach 二胡 or not next year. Hmmm

TRAVEL... I went to Bhutan (finally) with my sister, aunties and cousin.  It was a wonderful country, clean air, dusty street, friendly and helpful people, picturesque scenery that will steal your hearts and easy for photo taking. The trip was gang ko (辛苦) for me. I vomited for 5 days and on all the treks before my body got acclimatise to the high altitude.  But the fun, the people and the scenery is worth the the 辛苦.  Frankly speaking, it wasn't a country that you will think of going back, and it wasn't because of the high altitude and 辛苦. Just like Turkey, you will only think of going there only once.  There is nothing much to do except viewing the scenery. Night time is only relaxing and sleeping because we are tired after all the trekking and travelling. Totally different from Bangkok, which I went back again. This time with my sister's colleagues.  Simply for the makan, shopping and spa all day long.

My mum and dad health is so so and in maintenance mode. I only hope they will be relax, happy and have no major illness throughout their lives.

Well that sums up the whole year.  Quiet and peaceful.

Happy New Year, welcome 2020. 😃
