一周年了。。。 Time flies. Today is the 1st anniversary of my blogging life. Huh??? Me getting older ... Well, ok lah, there is nothing I can do with TIME except to treasure it only.
Can't imagine why I started blogging, maybe I really got nothing to do, maybe I got too many things to do until I gave up the doing, maybe I am just too stress. But hor, I am sure I was a bit conk off in the head when I continue to update the blog.
Well, it has been a year. Well, since I was already conk off, I might as well continue to conk off until one day this blogging thing becomes history (which I hope not). So pls tune in as I am going to continue blogging and blogging and blogging. Mua ha ha....
Hey, you noe there is something called Podcasting... maybe I try exploring this. I am game to try anything and everything as long as it doesn't harm me or anyone. You game to try?
BTW, Chinese New Year is coming ... itz the time of the year to start "SPRING CLEANING" again. Arrgghhh...

Stefanie Sun Live 2006 Performance
Singapore's favourite daughter returns again to the Singapore Indoor Stadium on 14 Jan 2006. Yeap, I went to watch her performance and there is only one word to describe the performance "Stunning".
I went with my second aunt and big sis. I had watched her previous performance in 2002 and there is a big difference, esp the audience participation. She had matured well and was able to get the audience involved much better than the last performance. Hey, her singing and dancing is good too, I mean the previous performance was good, but this time much better. We went there thinking that we would just sit quietly and enjoying her music, but alas, she impressed us so much and made us "whoaa... whooaaa.." all the way throughout the performance, and hor, we even sang along with her. Imagine 3 persons (1 in her fiftes, 2 in their thirties) who are used to sitting quietly and watching musicals such as Phantom, Mamma Mia, Snow.Wolf.Lake, etc shouting her name and singing along with her. I can't believe it myself too. But Stefanie really impressed us that night.
There are one major area which I think should be improved. That is the sound system. It was so bad that we couldn't even hear Stefanie's singing. Either the mic was not working properly, or the band was so loud that her voice was drown by the music. But that's not Stef's fault, so she shouldn't be penalise for that. Can you imagine the singer trying to sing and adjusting her ear monitor at the same time and without losing a single dance step? That is a feat to me, well Stef managed to do it, so kudos to her.
Because of this, I prefer the segments when she sang "Silent all these years" and the duet with Tanya Chua (another Singapore's favourite). During the singing of "Silent all these years", there was only a chair, a spotlight, her and her voice. She sang it very well and it was very touching ... we finally settled down to enjoy this piece silently. The duet was good because there is only a guitar (played by Tanya) and two voices, so the sound effect was much better than the band. There are other segments which I like but they were marred by the sound, eg the Tango dance when she sang "Slowly", the t-shirt and jeans combination when she sang fast numbers (oops I forgot the songs pai sei).
Overall, I think this is a wonderful performance and the $$ was well spent. Worth every cent of it. Next time, maybe she can consider having an acoustic performance where she wears T-shirt and jeans, having only a piano, a guitar and her voice. That will be interesting and we can really sit down and enjoy her singing. OK...OK...That 's my wish list only.
As a Singaporean, we are proud that we have a singer like her. I hope she continues to mature well, enjoy whatever she is doing and will be doing, live her life fully and aged gracefully. Ha ha ha...
